About the Thematic conference
How can schools nurture outstanding intellectual and creative potential while ensuring that every learner feels included, challenged and supported? As education continues to evolve in response to increasingly diverse learning needs and environments, this question has become more relevant than ever. This Thematic Conference of ECHA & CEJHP is also the 1st International Conference in Luxembourg on Intellectual and Creative Giftedness in Inclusive Education. The participating organisations are CEJHP, ECHA, IFEN and the Luxembourgish Ministry of Education. We invite teachers, researchers, school leaders, psychologists, policymakers and other professionals to come together for two inspiring days of learning, exchange and collaboration.
Luxembourg provides an ideal setting for this important conversation. The Centre pour Enfants et Jeunes à Haut Potentiel (CEJHP), founded in 2018, is one of the very few centres in the world dedicated to high-potential learners that operates as part of a national Ministry of Education and within a governmental framework. As inclusive education continues to develop, schools increasingly seek effective ways to respond to diverse cognitive, social and emotional needs. In addition, we seek to place a particular emphasis on twice exceptional learners. Yet opportunities to bring together international perspectives, cutting-edge research and everyday classroom practice remain rare. This conference aims to bridge that gap by creating a vibrant European and international forum where ideas, expertise and innovative practices can be shared across disciplines and educational contexts.
We warmly welcome international and national scholars, teachers, researchers, psychologists, policymakers and all professionals interested in creativity, intelligence and inclusive education to join us in Luxembourg, at the heart of Europe. The conference venue, located in the south of the country, reflects an important chapter of European history. This region, shaped by its rich iron and steel industry, played a significant role in the economic and social development that contributed to the foundations of modern Europe and today represents a unique multicultural environment.
We look forward to welcoming you in Luxembourg on 11 and 12 June 2027 to explore new perspectives, build professional networks and contribute to shaping the future of inclusive education. Together, we can advance educational practices that empower creativity, recognise giftedness and enable every learner to flourish.
